Field Guide 23: 22 rules for naming semantic design tokens, drawn from Nathan Curtis's naming levels, DTCG 2025.10 naming rules and the published names of Atlassian, Primer, Material 3, Spectrum and Salesforce SLDS 2. The kit holds the grammar and a controlled vocabulary as JSON, a zero-dependency linter that accepts all 23 of Field Guide 03's semantic tokens and rejects all 30 names in its bad-names fixture, and a rename-map generator that migrates the essay's first convention into Field Guide 03's token-renames.json format.
