Deep case studies and ventures

Each case study has: outcomes, constraints, decision record and sources.

These are the projects that show how I think. The complete archive, brand, identity and illustration work included, is on Digitaltableteur.

Design Systems

Helsinki Design System

Public sector design system work with accessibility rigor and multi-team governance.

Public sectorA11yReact/TS

Raised WCAG AA compliance from ~65% to 98% across city digital services
Shared components adopted by 12+ city departments, eliminating ~40% of duplicated UI work
Cut new service launch time from 3 months to 6 weeks with pre-built accessible patterns

Design Systems

SAP Build Apps Design System

Built and governed an enterprise design system for SAP's low-code platform, unifying Figma and React/TypeScript across 300+ practitioners.

EnterpriseDesign SystemReact/TSFigmaGovernance

Scaled component library to 100+ production-ready components with full Figma-React parity
Enabled 300+ developers and designers to ship consistent UI without design-engineering handoff friction
Reduced component onboarding time through versioned APIs and integrated documentation

Product

Precedent

A local-first macOS workspace that turns captured references into usable evidence. AI proposes context; it never silently asserts it.

macOSLocal-firstAI productElectronSwift

Shipped as a signed, notarized macOS app with a self-update feed; releases from 0.1.0 to 0.3.1 over five weeks
Context assembly measured at a 50,000-reference corpus: depth-1 p95 227ms on Apple Silicon, with fail-closed release gates including an incorrect-context rate of zero
58 capture formats, on-device Whisper transcription in a deny-network sandbox and a read-only MCP server so agents get deterministic access with source pointers

Tooling

Project Spine

An open-source context compiler: brief + repo + design tokens in, a deterministic, drift-checked operating layer for humans and coding agents out.

Open sourceCLIAI workflowsDesign tokensMCP

14 releases in three months (v0.1.0-alpha to v0.9.2-beta.2), published to npm with provenance and an executable release-readiness gate
One compile writes 21+ files: instructions for four agent tools, QA guardrails, scaffold plan and a sprint-1 backlog, with every rule carrying a source pointer
Drift detection ships as a CI gate with a reusable GitHub Action, so instruction files stay aligned as the repo evolves

Tooling

Rhythmguard

Design-token and spacing-scale governance for CSS and Tailwind: enforce scales, require tokens and autofix arbitrary values before they ship.

Open sourceStylelintDesign tokensTailwindDesignOps

Four Stylelint rules, two ESLint Tailwind rules, eight shareable configs and 18 researched scale presets, published to npm across 18 releases (v0.1.0 to v2.0.1)
Production migration measured on a live Next.js site: 31 scale violations autofixed to zero, verified by re-lint, with a clean 26-line substitution diff
Benchmarked against the nearest comparable rule on a 24,000-declaration corpus: use-scale mean 383ms vs 487ms, identical warning output
