Audit current metrics: List what you already track (even informally) — you probably have more data than you think
Pick your starter set: Choose 2-3 'easy' metrics from each category that you can collect without new tooling
Set baseline values: Record where each metric stands today — you can't show improvement without a starting point
Define collection cadence: Decide who updates which metric and when — monthly is sustainable for most teams
Build the first dashboard: Start simple (spreadsheet or Notion) — fancy tooling comes after you prove the habit
Schedule stakeholder reviews: monthly or quarterly — visibility without review is just data hoarding
