LLM Component Schema Template

Prerequisites

• You maintain a reusable component library
• Your team uses AI tools for documentation or implementation
• You can enforce shared naming and taxonomy conventions

When NOT to use this

• No shared component model exists yet
• Team workflows do not include AI-assisted generation or reviews
• You need a one-off component doc rather than a repeatable system

Consider instead

• Early-stage library without stable conventions: Start with a lightweight component contract template before formalizing a schema
• Need quick human-readable docs only: Use the Alignment Handbook format without machine-readable fields
